Borrowers you have a choice!
If you are refinancing, purchasing a new property, or modifying a loan, you have the option to choose your own Notary. Simply tell your lender, mortgage broker or escrow/title company that you know of an experienced notary/loan signing agent who will handle it for you. Our experienced notaries who are bonded, insured, certified and background screened will come to you at a designated location of your choice. We will guide you through the entire loan signing process and accommodate your busy schedule. We will work directly with your lender, broker or escrow/title company to ensure your loan documents are completed right the first time and returned in a timely fashion.
*Fees quoted depend upon the requirements of each job, travel distance, and the time required to complete the assignment. A notarization for a document such as a Power of Attorney or an Affidavit of Inability to Appear for a Marriage License at the Pitchess Detention Center in Castaic, CA is $125 to $350** depending on the circumstances. However, lockdowns and other unforeseeable circumstances can happen in detention centers, therefore, we bill hourly. Each additional 1/2 hour is $50. NOTE: Payment must be made prior to, or on the day of, the appointment and must be in the form of cash.
Marriage Licenses:
You must first obtain an **Affidavit of Inability to Appear and an Application for Marriage License from the County of Los Angeles Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk's Office in Norwalk. New versions of these documents were released in January 2008, so be sure you have the newest forms. All forms must be filled out in their entirety.
The Affidavit of Inability to Appear form must be notarized. The Application for the Marriage License must be signed by you and the inmate and can be done at the time the Inability to Appear form is notarized. An officiant must be contacted to perform the actual marriage ceremony. The notary who notarizes the Inability to Appear form cannot perform the ceremony.
