**Fees for notarizations at most California jails, courts, prisons and detention centers depend upon the requirements of each job and the time required. The minimum fee for a document such as a Power of Attorney or an Affidavit of Inability to Appear for a Marriage License at the Pitchess Detention Center in Castaic, California is $100 for the first hour (most jobs completed within an hour). Any time over an hour is billed at $25 every 30 minutes. NOTE: Payment must be made prior to, or on the day of, the appointment and must be in the form of cash.
